I baked namé tonight. Also called tropical sweet potato. I peeled it, cut it into pieces a bit bigger than french fries and baked it at 275 degrees for about 20 minutes. I covered it with a bit of salt and coconut oil. It was very good. Like a nutty french fry.

I never tried this or saw this before. It was a cooking adventure! What have been YOUR new things you have tried lately?

This tree is shining with light.

I thought this looked like there was a whole family of snow octopi on this tree.

The wind blew for a moment to show me some magic snowsparkle dust.

Here I meet some cool dudes having a duel with snow brooms! I first met one of these guys while he was shoveling his roof with this enormously long snow shovel. I never saw that before. I found out that a lot of people do it to help reduce icicles.

…and then I was home.

Here we come to part two of this Wondrous Winter walk. With this part of my journey, I enter into Seneca Park, which is where I walk every day. There are so many beautiful things to see in this park, including fantastic people. I see many people who walk, snowshoe, and cross country ski in this park. It is great to see so many people being active in this area of Rochester – even on very cold days.

I love to see leaves with some green left in them in the middle of winter. Tough leaves.

This tree being is also on video! I thought the blowing of the leaves was very beautiful and meditative. I visualize it being that way for you too. You can sometimes hear bird sounds too.

Here I pan around this tree a bit. I took the videos of this tree while I was laying in the snow.

I am delighted to see many birds here every day even when it is zero degrees F.

The ducks are here every day. They have this small bit of unfrozen pond that they quack and quack away the day in.

Part 3 – Shining trees and Dueling Snow broom excitement!

Wondrous winter walking journey of a red haired artist. Part 1. There will be three parts to this journey…

I walk every day. Today there was finally some sun, and it was not snowing, so I am able to share my journey with you with pictures. On this day, it was about 20 degrees F (-6 C) outside.

As I begin, I walk by a beautiful yard on a very wonderful street in Irondequoit, NY called East Parkway. I admire this yard at all times of the day because it has beautiful trees and landscaping.

I found out that I had hypothyroidism last year. An under-active thyroid. I researched a lot and found out a lot of information about the thyroid and that many women are not diagnosed correctly for this. The current allowed ranges on the blood tests to check the thyroid do not reflect properly when there is a real problem. Problems with the thyroid can cause many other things to go wrong. I am fascinated by small details and tiny things. I had some powerful visions in Peru of how very small beings work together to make a larger being healthy. Of course this happens in all life forms. Atoms, molecules, cells, and more all work together to create the incredible array of beings that we see on earth.

I belong to a few different prayer lists. When I get information about people, I put them up on my prayer wall and do healing ceremonies. I sing to the names and pictures and send them good energy.

I recently heard about a six year old boy named Ben. He has a health challenge that I am positive he can overcome. This challenge involves his mitochondria not working together right. I visualize his mitochondria coming back into balance. I was inspired to create a superhero for him and his mitochondria – Motochondria Man. (Insert heroic music here)
